A quick note about electricity...

Safari Lodge during 2010 installed an alternate "GREEN POWER" system. We currently offer 24 hour power for guests comfort and safety.  Our Solar / Wind Turbine / Battery Banks enable us to provide 24hr power.  We still operate a generator when the Batteries need charging, however this is currently only 3 hours per evening.  This enables us to also provide a 24hr Wi-Fi network at 3G speed - amazing considering our remote location.  Our supply is 240volts and normal Australian and New Zealand 3 pin type plugs fit into our powerpoints. There are powerpoints in most comon areas, however large devices such as hair dryers (1000+ watts) are not permitted to be used as they draw to much power.
